Greenwich Academy
South Campus

The South Campus is home to the Academy’s Lower and Middle Schools where we have completed two projects. The new Lower School building includes classrooms, group work areas, a library learning center, and an auditorium. The Middle School building is renovated and expanded to include new art and science classrooms, as well as multi-purpose and student gathering spaces.

The buildings are clad with cedar board-and-batten siding and local fieldstone, referencing Connecticut’s traditional material palette and the campus’ historic legacy. Protected by roof overhangs, expansive windows offer views out over renewed landscape and provide teaching spaces with abundant natural light.

The buildings together frame a new landscaped campus entrance, with fieldstone learning pods, a play structure, and pollinator garden. The parking area is redesigned to improve the safety of pickup and drop off, addressing campus wetlands with permeable paving and integrated stormwater management.
