Practice
Annum Architects is a unique practice. Whether planning and designing contemporary buildings or revitalizing historic resources, we work to build spaces for the arts, education, and public realm that support and expand the community of users.
Our Purpose
Mission Statement
Process
Whether designing for new construction or revitalizing historic resources, we connect the history of a place with its future. Our work is grounded in extensive research of all aspects of a site and its users. We lead an interactive process that explores options and results in consensus solutions through vigorous dialogue.
History
“I am thrilled with Annum’s name, mission, and leadership. These reflect a practice marked by innovation and opportunity”.
Sustainability
Sustainability has been an integral part of Annum’s approach to planning and design since the very start. For 40 years, we have preserved not just material and resources, but cultural significance so future generations will be able to use and enjoy the buildings we create. We think of user needs not just now—but for the decades to come. Annum is a member of the US Green Building Council and a signatory to AIA’s 2030 Commitment to reduce energy consumption in the built environment. We have more than 20 LEED Accredited Professionals on staff and have designed LEED Platinum, Gold, Silver, and Certified projects with existing buildings.
