Katherine Ernst
Designer
Kat Ernst joined the firm in 2018 and has contributed to several major cultural and academic projects including work at Phillips Exeter Academy, Harvard University, and University School in Shaker Heights Ohio. She has developed and detailed design options for several significant interior spaces, including those at Harvard University’s Houghton Library and MIT.
Kat holds a Bachelor of Architecture from Mississippi State University where her efforts in the SuperUse Pavilion project was awarded the ACSA Collaborative Practice Award for their adaptive design thinking.
Prior to joining Annum, Kat worked at Method Studio in Salt Lake City Utah.
A key collaborator and visual graphics , Kat is a deft modeler and has created digital conceptual and presentation models for a variety of Annum projects. Her design and rendering skills are valued by clients and colleagues, and she has produced presentation renderings for the renovation of Houghton Library, the Smithsonian Institute’s National Air and Space Museum Restaurant Addition Replacement project, and MIT’s Department of Mechanical Engineering Renovation. She has managed FF&E for Annum’s work at Phillips Exeter Academy, Houghton Library, and The Center of Netherlandish Art at Museum of Fine Arts, Boston.
Kat is currently Studio Leader for Annum’s Open Studios, which include trivia nights and she directed the firm’s 2020 CANstruction team.
