St. Paul’s School Arts

Our renovation and expansion of two 20th Century buildings create a new campus core for studio arts at St. Paul’s School. The Crumpacker Building is reconfigured to provide print and drawing studios, climate-controlled storage for the School’s permanent art collection, and fully accessible galleries hosting permanent, traveling, and student exhibitions. The nearby Fine Arts Building is renovated and expanded to house offices for arts faculty and studios for digital media, ceramics, glassblowing, and welding. The roof of its expansion is used as a sculpture terrace and outdoor teaching space. The use of existing buildings for new purposes aligns with the School’s campus-wide objectives for sustainability.

Exhibition space in new glazed entrances on both buildings presents collections to the School community passing by on the Arts Walk, a new campus pathway connecting studio arts and exhibition with drama and performing arts in nearby buildings.
